Catching Up
It has been quite a while since I have posted any new pictures, I know...many people have scolded me for that! Alex has grown so much! He is such a happy baby! He is always smiling, especially in the morning. I'm usually not a morning person, but when I see that chubby, toothless grin, how can I not smile? Hannah is also growing like a weed. She is getting taller and I think she is finally getting a little bigger around too. We finally had to get rid of the "24 months" and "2T" pants she's been wearing. She is doing very well at headstart and still loves going although getting her up at 6AM to get on the schoolbus can be a chore. All in all, we are doing very well. We are getting ready to move, this weekend, into an apartment. I am excited about the move, but ready to get it over with! I hope that I can keep up with my coursework while we move. We've got lots of friends to help, so I'm sure it will all work out fine. Enjoy the pictures!
What a happy face! Do you know how many pictures I had to take before I finally got this smile? But it was definitely worth it!
This is the happy face alternative. When Alex gets excited he opens his mouth as wide as he can and sometimes he squeaks too, which startles him and makes him look around to find out where the noise came from.
Our little man is finally sitting up, with a little help from our little friend, Boppy. He really enjoys sitting up now so that he can see everything that is going on.
Here, Alex discovers the sailboats that are on the Boppy. He stared intently at them for a good 5 minutes and, of course, tried to eat them several times. Apparently, they didn't taste as good as they looked.
Finally, some peace...Alex doesn't usually like to sleep unless he has a soft warm cushion to sleep on (usually Grandma, but any warm body will do in a pinch!) but he's learning that it's ok to take a little snooze in his chair.
I believe this was one of the first smiles Alex gave us. It was during the very brief period when he liked his swing while awake.....now it's pretty much only good for lulling him into slumber.
This was Alex's christmas outfit, well, one of them. Grandma was getting him to talk and laugh for the camera.
Believe it or not, this is a smile, not Alex filling his diaper. I think he was just tired...or maybe he saw something shiny.
Here, Hannah is modeling Alex's hat. Mom and I went to a craft fair and got each of the kids a hat with peaks at the tops and bells on each peak. I guess Alex will just have to wait until next year to wear his, it looks like it will be a bit too big this year.
This is the rocking chair that Hannah got from Cathy and Kathy (ladies that I work with). They brought over a bunch of present for all of us. I thought this rocking chair was so cute! You can't see it in this picture, but the back of the chair has Hannah's name handpainted on it.
Here, Hannah decided that this was what she wanted to wear that day. I figured she would get hot and take off at least the ski pants, but she wore them for most of the day. Oh, and she had two pairs of pants on underneath the ski pants too.
I took this picture right before I took Hannah for her very first haircut. She got to sit in the big chair at the salon and she did so well! I wasn't sure how she would react to a stranger cutting her hair, but the girl was very friendly and besides, she gave Hannah a sucker which pretty much guarantees compliance for at least the life of the sucker.
Yay videos! I can finally share some live video of our little man with you all! I am very happy and excited to report that Alex finally rolled over!
