Our Sweet Alex

Our little man is such a joy! And he just loves to be cuddled!

He does have a bit of a temper though...but I guess I just didn't prepare him for his first bath experience.

Great grandma finally gets her hands on that baby!

Proud Poppy Tim!

Uncle Dave and Alex relaxing on Thanksgiving. It's never too early to start watching football, right?

Alexander James is finally here!

Well, our boy is finally here! He arrived on monday, November 5, 2007 at 11:42am! He weighed 8lbs. 6 1/2 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long! I had had the feeling for a couple of weeks that he was going to be early, but he had different plans. But when he decided to come he didn't wait long! I got to the hospital an hour before I had him! And what a beautiful boy he is!

We were surprised to actually get a picture of him with his eyes open!

Such sweet repose!

Is that a picture of a proud grandma or what?

And there's the proud big sister! She was so gentle with him right from the start. She loves to kiss him and rub his head and tell me how cute her baby brother is!

As you can see from this picture my hair was still wet from my shower that morning!

Here's another proud sister picture. She looks so serious! I guess she takes her job very seriously. She didn't waste any time asking me to hold him. She came in and climbed right up onto the bed with us! That's my girl!

Halloween among other things....

Hannah had a blast being Snow White for Halloween. She was so authentic. She wouldn't even answer to anything but Snow White. If I tried to call her Hannah, she would say...no, mama I'm Snow White. Grandma had to take her trick-or-treating because I had a test to take at school, but she didn't seem to mind. She could barely carry her treat bag, it was so heavy!

Hannah even had shoes, though I think she may have gotten her fairy tales mixed up.....she kept calling them her glass slippers. Oh well, I was just glad that she didn't fall down in them since they had little heels on them and they were about 4 sizes too big....

Hannah started out at grandma's work where she got to meet Batman! Apparently, she was quite taken with him because she started chasing him around....which seemed to be fine with him. Then he kept giving her hugs and she said to me..mama take a picture of us hugging! How could I refuse?

The following pictures were taken at my surprise baby shower at work.

Do I look surprised?

This is Tammy, my supervisor. The shower was her idea and she did really well keeping it a secret from me! This is the only picture I have of Tammy through the whole shower because I don't think she put down the camera.......at least not until the cake came out!

This was the adorable and delicious cake made just for me at out own bakery! They did a great job, didn't they? Hannah got to keep the Care Bears too!

This was the favorite picture of the shower....I guess I wasn't too thrilled at having to wear the hat...but in my defense they did tell me to cross my eyes! I guess I do that a lot at work or something...

Here are some of the co-conspirators of the shower....from left Paula, Amanda, Kathy, Alisa, Pat, Pam, and Marie. There were others, but they were smart enough to avoid the camera.

This is Ken, our Asset Protection Manager. He wasn't involved in the shower, he just wanted some cake, so we made him wear the hat. He didn't seem to mind, in fact, he wore it longer than I did!

The next set of pictures are ones that I just didn't get around to posting, but were too cute not to! Most of them are from summer.

Here Hannah is modeling her Dora The Explorer swimsuit and grass skirt and...um socks.

Hannah just loves her ATV's. This one has a handy storage bin in the back for such necessities as balls, squirt guns, and shovels.

This is possibly my all-time favorite picture of my girl! She is so innocent in her sweet repose.

This is another fav of mine. She is just such a photogenic girl! She is the picture of summer!

I just love the expression on her face. It makes me want to kiss those chubby cheeks!

Here Hannah proudly displays her Care Bear bandaid.

Another sweet sleeping pose. She played so hard in her pool of balls that she just fell asleep. I think she slept like that for an hour too.

Here we were, having a grand old time splashing around in the pool.....and then mean old mama has to go and say it's time to get out. Who cares if our teeth are chattering and our lips are blue, right?

Mama must be serious, cuz she just got the towel out....
